Looking for a fun way to get your kids excited about the rich history of the Smoky Mountains? Try spending an afternoon at the Sugarlands Visitor Center. Located just two miles south of Gatlinburg, inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, this educational Gatlinburg souvenir shop is filled with exciting and interactive ways to get your kids excited about learning.
One of the coolest things about visiting the Gatlinburg souvenir shop is their 20-minute film about the history of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Both interesting and educational, this film is sure to peak the interest of any visitor. Throughout the year Sugarlands Visitor Center also hosts several thrilling Ranger led programs that all kids of all ages to learn more about the park in a unique way. The Sugarlands Visitor Center is open every day except Christmas throughout the year. Hours for the Gatlinburg souvenir shop vary by season. Current hours for the month of November are 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Admission to the center is free.
