Facebook Names Gatlinburg Honeymoons Among Best in the World
Yes, you read that correctly. The popular social media site, Facebook, recently named Gatlinburg honeymoons among the top ten honeymoon destinations in the world. Our bustling Smoky Mountain town beat out major cities including New York City and Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
On the list of Top 10, Gatlinburg honeymoons came in number 8. However, it is important to mention that five out of the top seven locations are located in Hawaii.
According to a news report from WBIR, a local news station, Facebook came up with its top 10 list by scrolling through all the posts and check-ins that its users made in 2014 that mentioned wedding venues away from home. Because Facebook has users all across the globe, this means that the list is not only the best destination honeymoon locations in the United States, but actually for the entire world.
