Complete Guide to the Longest Pigeon Forge Attraction

The Smoky Mountains Alpine Coaster is one of the newest and most popular Pigeon Forge attraction. The longest downhill ride in the United States, the Alpine Coaster offers over 5,280 feet of fun in one location.

The sleds are designed to carry up to two visitors per ride. Guests can control the speed of their sled by using the hand-held brakes that are built in for safety. Carts can go up to 27 miles per hour.

During the ride, visitors will speed through several twists and bends as they cruise down the mountain towards the finish line.

Who Can Ride?

To ride the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster, guests must be at least 56 inches tall for a single sled ride and 38 inches for an add on rider. Double rider sleds must be operated by a person age 16 or above.

Hours

The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Please note, that the Pigeon Forge attraction’s hours may vary depending on weather.

Ticket Cost

Tickets to the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster vary by age. For adults, tickets are $15. Children ages 7-12 can ride the Pigeon Forge attraction for $12. Tickets are only $5 for children ages 3-6.

Packages and special prices are also available. Guests can pick up a four pack of adult tickets to the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster for $44 ($11 each) and only $32 for children ages 7-12 ($8 each).

Tax is includes with all ticket prices.

The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is located at 867 Wears Valley Road, Pigeon Forge, Tenn. 37863. The Pigeon Forge attraction is located just a two minute drive down the road from HearthSide Cabin Rentals’ main office.
