The time has come for cooler evenings, leaves changing colors, and pumpkin-flavored everything. And along with all of your fall favorites comes the biggest fall event in the Smoky Mountains — the Dollywood Harvest Festival! Each year, thousands of visitors come to the Smokies to experience Great Pumpkin LumiNights and other fall fun at the festival. About the Harvest Festival
The Dollywood Harvest Festival has pumpkin displays, music, art and more! The big fall event lasts an entire month long, from Sept. 28 to Nov. 3. It is the best way to celebrate the season and get in the Halloween spirit! There will be pumpkin displays that light up the night, tasty treats, entertainment, and so much more fall fun. Not only is it the biggest fall event, but it features the largest gospel music event, the Southern Gospel Jubilee. Not only will you get to experience all of the festival fun, but you can enjoy everything that Dollywood has to offer, like rides, shopping, and dining. You will love everything about attending this annual festival!
What to Expect
For those who have never had the chance to experience the Dollywood Harvest Festival, there are 3 main components that make the event so amazing: world-class artisans, the Southern Gospel Jubilee, and the Great Pumpkin LumiNights.
World-class Artisans: Each fall, artisans from around the country come to Dollywood to share their handmade crafts with guests at the festival. Not only will you get to see the crafts throughout the park, there are a number of talented artists who set up shop and demonstrate the traditional crafts for you. This year, there will be booths that feature inspirational jewelry, paintings, handmade historic games, pottery, chainsaw carvings, and so much more.

Southern Gospel Jubilee: During the Harvest Festival, you can enjoy the Southern Gospel Jubilee, the largest gospel music event in the area! The music-filled festival is included for free with Dollywood admission, so you don’t have to payan extra dime to enjoy the inspirational and uplifting hymns that fill the valleys and peaks of the Smoky Mountains. The Southern Gospel Jubilee includes more than 500 concerts, including some of the world’s biggest groups, like Gold City, Ernie Hasse and The McKameys!
Great Pumpkin LumiNights: As a grand finale each night, the Great Pumpkin LumiNights wows visitors and lights up the park with thousands of illuminated jack-o-lanterns. Not only will there be incredible fall decor, but there will be pumpkin-themed food options, entertainment, and interactive opportunities. The best part is that this year, Great Pumpkin LumiNights is double the size of last year’s event! The glow has grown to be two times bigger and better than in 2017. You can even get your own glow on with unique face painting that comes alive at night! In addition to face painting, there will be a meet and greet with Harvey the Pumpkin, Vine Vinny, and all of their friends, as well as specialty foods like caramel apple sundaes and specialty merchandise like pumpkin T-shirts! And to see how the magic all comes to life, watch the master carvers show off their talented skills as they carve intricate designs that make up the displays throughout Timber Canyon.
